While I'm back at uni, and struggling on longer-term projects instead of my little quick-fix creations, I still need something to keep my compulsive impulses satisfied, and while my brain loves to flitter from idea to idea I want to exercise some sort of control over it this year by maintaining a theme.
I've thought and thought, looked and read, and I always seem drawn back to one image- so this shall be my starting point, my theme.... Spirals.
Timeless, emotive, natural, beautiful and meditative, spirals are an integral part of everyone's lives, whether we notice it or not... I make a point of noticing. As I work in allsorts of materials I'll at least have considerable options to create a daily image- paint, felt, photo, doodle, wire..The challenge for me will be my ability to maintain such a focus and dedication...not a strong point for an artistically compulsive disordered individual!!
Why 366 days and why start now? Well 2012 is a leap year, so there's the extra day, and why not start it now? Autumn is a nice time of year to start and I'd like it finished before December next year, just in case!

My word, I was having trouble finding more spirals and with so many projects on the go that don't have one, I seem to be a bit short now!! I shall have to run round tomorrow taking some pics top upload- I've done over 100, I can't give up now!
